    Started in 1953 by Don "Wild Horse" Baxter. In the rodeo arena, capture the excitement of bareback, saddle bronco, and bull riding. Hold on to your cowboy hats during the team roping, calf roping, and steer wrestling, and as the ladies race against the clock in the barrel racing contest.

    You will see 27 buildings, all designated National Historic Landmarks. As an historic site authentic to 1897, Great Camp Sagamore is not paved and does not have ramps to most of its buildings. Those who do not wish to walk with the group will see a one-hour video presentation on the Durant camps in Raquette Lake in the snack shop.
