  • Silver Beach Carousel and
    Amusement Park Museum

    Completely hand carved and newly constructed, it opened in 2010.  The museumis free and the carousel ride is $2). With a scheduled visit a docent will be available to explain the history of Silver Beach Amusement Park and other area information and history. Look through Michigan’s tallest kaleidoscope in the center of the building.

  • St. Joseph North Pier Lighthouses

    Travel to Tisconia Park, in St. Joseph, you can park and walk on the pier to the St. Joseph North Pier Lighthouses. The lighthouse is owned by the Coast Guard. Grounds open, towers closed.

  • Tree-Mendus Fruit Farm

    Start with a guided open-air excursion around the farm, settle into the cushioned seats of the comfortable Country "Folkswagon". This unique wagon has a roof too, so even a shower won’t dampen your spirits. Then dine in the meadow and savor a delicious home-cooked chicken dinner.  Be sure to allow enough time to visit the country gift shop before departing.

  • Downtown St. Joseph

    Spend a bit of time exploring the tree-lined streets of the downtown shopping district immediately outside the hotel.

  • Silver Beach

    One of the top 10 beaches in the country.

  • Farmer’s Market

    Stroll through their nursery. They feature Blueberries, spreads, dried fruits, mustards, preserves, spreads, candies, sauces, bake mixes, cookbooks and more!

  • Michigan Maritime Museum

    Though the train is not currently in operation, you can still dine on one of the rail cars. A miner joins you to regale the history and importance of the mining in this area.

  • South Haven South Pier Lighthouse

    This 35-foot tower was first placed in operation in 1903, replacing an 1872 wooden frame tower. The keeper's dwelling, built at the same time as the first South Haven Light, overlooks the river from the hill near the foot of the pier. It now serves as the Great Lakes Research Library of the Michigan Maritime Museum.

  • Tall Ship: Friends Good Will

    Learning stations above and below deck to illustrate navigation, the trade of the times and how politics and culture shaped the Great Lakes.

  • South Haven

    A walkable, compact downtown, featuring more than 70 shops and restaurants and scenic harbor views. Both the serious shopper and casual browser will find an eclectic array of stores and boutiques jam packed with everything from toys, books, clothing and home décor to fine art, souvenirs and travel accessories.

  • Guided Sand Dune Buggy Ride

    This 35-40 minute exciting tour will take you up and down sand dunes along the shores of Lake Michigan. Your guide will tell you about the lost town of Singapore, the local vegetation and wildlife.

  • Dinner Cruise

    This 65' Victorian style paddle-wheel river boat cruises through beautiful Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan and cruises past the BIG RED lighthouse.

  • Windmill Island

    A beautiful oasis within the city of Holland, Windmill Island features a 240 year old working Dutch windmill "De Zwaan" (meaning graceful bird). The windmill towers over 36 acres of manicured gardens, dikes, canals and picnic areas.

  • Saugatuck/ Douglas

    Enjoy the shops and galleries and lunch here on your own. Artist & Craft Galleries include Amaru Leather, Tuscan Pot, Blue Coast Artists, Discovery Art Center, Water Street Gallery and many more studio and art galleries.
