    The lure of the sea has always been strong with our guide on this tour.  She fell in love with the outer banks of North Carolina almost 30 years ago and continues saying it is her favorite place in the world!   From the majestic lighthouses to the gently swaying sea oats on the dunes, to the fabulous fresh local seafood and awesome sunsets, the beauty and mystery surrounding this fascinating group of barrier islands is sure to captivate you as well!  Embark with us on this amazing journey as we explore North Carolina's Outer Banks!

  • Lunch at High Cotton

    Enjoy lunch at High Cotton - BBQ that's all they do!  After lunch walk next door for a Duck Donut, included for all for dessert.  Duck donuts are mad-to-order for you with a large variety of glazes and toppings.

  • Currituck Beach Lighthouse

    Off to the outer banks where we will journey to the town of Corolla.   We will visit the first our first lighthouse, the Currituck Beach Light.  Climbing is available weather permitting, but not included in admission price.  Those that wish to climb will have to pay the admission price. Guests can climb on their own (many many steps), enjoy the gift shop and take pictures Currituck Beach Lighthouse.

  • Nags Head, NC

    You'll spend three nights in arguably one of the Outer Banks' most established tourism destinations, due to its wealth of amenities, sprawling ocean and soundfront views, and classic Outer Banks style.   Your group will receive a welcome reception of punch and cookies and gift bags from the Out Banks CVB.

  • Sugarcreek Restaurant

    Dinner on the Sound featuring prime rib, seafood platters, fresh baked corn bread, and delicious desserts!

  • Wright Brothers Monument Park

    See where the famous First Flight occurred and enjoy a park rangers program on the events leading up to the historic day!  Climb the famous Kill Devil Hill and walk the grounds where the Kitty Hawk landed her famous first flights!   

  • Village of Manteo

    Enjoy some free time to browse the quaint waterfront area of the Village of Manteo on Roanoke Island, home of the Lost Colony!  Lunch is on own at Poor Richards Deli on the boardwalk.  

  • Elizabeth II

    Go to Festival Park to tour the replica sailing ship the Elizabeth II, stroll down to the settlement, and enjoy a film "The Legend of Two Path" which features the Native American perspective of the first English settlers.

  • Roanoke Adventure Museum

    You will find interactive exhibits exploring the 400 years of Outer Banks history since America’s beginning. You can spot a star with an astrolabe, meet the Algonquians through John White drawings, climb aboard a skiff and hoist her sails, meet a pirate who sailed with Blackbeard, learn about the lighthouses and lifesaving, experience duck hunting and take a shopping trip to a 1900s general store. 

  • Captain Georges Seafood Buffet

    Enjoy a wonderful buffet - from Shrimp to Crab Legs, Oysters to Scallops….something for everyone to enjoy.  Included is the Salad Bar and She Crab Soup (hmmmmmmmmmmm good)!!  Captain Georges also offers BBQ Ribs, Chicken and Beef for those that are not seafood samplers.  Save room for the dessert buffet!!

  • Bodie Island Lighthouse

    Your tour will travel to Cape Hatteras for the National Seashore experience!  We will stop by the Bodie Island Lighthouse for photos.

     

  • Cape Hatteras Light

    After leaving the Bodie Island Lighthouse the tour will continue on to the Cape Hatteras Light, tallest brick lighthouse in North America!  Learn more about the Move of the Century and climbing is available weather permitting!

  • Ocracoke Island Ferry Ride

    Forty minute ferry ride to the magical Ocracoke Island, considered to be the Pearl of the Outer Banks!  Visit the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. Exhibits now on display include artifacts from historical shipwrecks, unique beach finds and locally carved ship models.

  • Ocracoke Island

    The island was once home to legendary pirate, Blackbeard, and will enchant you with the 13 miles of pristine beaches and quaint fishing village.  Enjoy free time to explore the many quaint boutiques and galleries, see the lighthouse for photos, and stop by the wild pony pasture and beach.  The Beach, rated number one in US twice in the last decade by Dr. Beach! While on the island guests can rent bikes, scooters, golf carts by the hour…this is easier than walking if guests have difficulty.    

  • Basnight's Lone Cedar Cafe

    Dine on a fabulous family style feast at Basnight's Lone Cedar Cafe for luscious crab dip, mouth watering BBQ ribs, lightly dusted fresh shrimp, sautéed tuna, and more!  Enjoy the best key lime pie on the east coast while watching local favorite celebs Ricky and Lucy (mated Opsrey pair) nesting outside our banquet room window overlooking the sound!

  • Depending on your city of departure and return, Ohio Travel Treasures can add additional attractions and dining options specific to your route towards and from the Outer Banks.

  • Charlottesville and experience Monticello

    Depending on your departure you can start your tour with one of two options.  A stop and overnight in Charlottesville and experience Monticelloand dinner with Thomas Jefferson!  

  • Mt. Airy - "Mayberry"

    Option 2 for the start of your tour is a day in Mt. Airy, boyhood home of Andy Griffith and enjoy the quaint "Mayberry" experience!

  • Grandy Greenhouse & Farm Market

    Experience some of the best local North Carolina produce featuring their famous homemade jams, jellies, and apple cider!  A box lunch will be included along with some of Miss Ally's famous frozen yogurt!  

  • Charlotte, NC

    Charlotte is a major city and commercial hub in North Carolina. Its modern city center (Uptown) is known for the NASCAR Hall of Fame, which celebrates the sport of auto racing through interactive exhibits and films.  You'll spend your final night enjoying the second largest city in the southeastern United States

  • Charlotte Motor Speedway

    Enjoy laps around the NASCAR track in the pace vans and free time to browse the gift shop.  Whether you are a race fan or not, this is a fun and exciting destination!  

  • Ciro's Bistro

    While in Charlotte you'll enjoy a fabulous authentic Italian feat at Ciro's Bistro.  If your're lucky the owner will serenade you on his accordion.
